Andy Cruse, CPA, is a Controller at Blaze Capital Partners where he is responsible for managing the Company’s investment accounting and reporting functions for its various joint ventures. In this capacity, Mr. Cruse is actively involved in financial reporting and analysis, treasury management, tax analysis, IT Risks and Compliance, and strategic operational objectives.
Prior to joining Blaze Capital Partners, Mr. Cruse gained over 10 years of public accounting experience in tax, assurance, and business advisory services. Most recently, he served as a Manager in the Risk Assurance and Advisory practice at Windham Brannon, LLC in Atlanta. In this role, Mr. Cruse concentrated on SOX 404 compliance, internal audit support, SOC 1 & 2 examinations, process improvement consulting, financial technology, and data analytics. During this time, Andy gained considerable experience on the operations and information technology side, which allows him to offer a unique perspective coupled with his experience in accounting and finance.
Andy started his career serving the tax planning and compliance needs of multi-state corporations and flow-through entities across the southeast, with a primary focus in the commercial real estate industry.
Mr. Cruse received a B.B.A in Accounting from Kennesaw State University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He holds active memberships with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Georgia Society of CPA’s (GSCPA).
